IH8C Terms of Service

1. Agreement
By booking with IH8C, you agree to these Terms. IH8C may update Terms from time to time, effective upon posting. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility
Services are available only to persons 15 years and older who can form a binding contract under Australian law.

3. Customer Obligations

Provide accurate booking details and safe access to your residence.

Provide required kitchen facilities (oven/cooktop, power, WiFi if available).

Ensure a clean, clutter-free workspace with access to sink and benches.

Secure valuables prior to service.

Provide required ingredients unless IH8C shopping service is used.

Notify IH8C of allergies/intolerances before service.

Failure to meet obligations may result in forfeited payment.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Changes/cancellations ≥72 hrs before service: free.

Cancellations within 72 hrs: $40 fee.

Cancellations within 24 hrs: full payment forfeited.

No refunds once a cook is completed.

5. IH8C Obligations

Provide trained cooks with police checks/blue cards.

Deliver services in a professional manner but without guarantee of specific outcomes.

Use reasonable efforts to manage allergies and cross-contamination risks.

6. Online Shopping Service

Payment details are collected securely for grocery purchases only.

Ingredients must be delivered ≥12 hrs prior to cook.

Substitutions may occur where items are unavailable.

Any reimbursements for incorrect or spoiled products will provided on notification after delivery.

7. Payments

Services are prepaid via Stripe.

Prices may change at IH8C’s discretion.

Customers are responsible for any applicable taxes.

8. Liability & Disclaimer

Services are provided “as is” and at your own risk.

IH8C is not liable for the freshness of customer-supplied ingredients.

To the extent permitted by law, IH8C is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Liability is capped at the amount paid in the last 12 months or $100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Prohibited Conduct
You must not solicit IH8C cooks for private work, misuse the booking system, or engage in unlawful or fraudulent behaviour.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes will be dealt with in Brisbane courts or through arbitration if required.
